At Viaggio Mag, we are proud of our talented collection of contributors, scattered across the globe. Although our writers hail from a variety of careers, backgrounds, and lifestyles, they are united by one essential factor: a passion for storytelling.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Abi Prowse
Abi is a writer, photographer, and digital marketing specialist from London, and the founder of Viaggio Magazine. After a lifetime spent chasing adventure, she set up camp in Scotland and Portugal, before finally settling in Italy’s little-known Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Born of a lifelong love affair with adventure and storytelling, and hoping to champion the art of slow travel, she launched Viaggio Magazine in 2020.
Abi has also written for publications such as Condé Nast Traveller, Lodestars Anthology, The Italy Edit, Matador Network, and SUITCASE Magazine.

Kirstie is a Scottish traveller and writer, and owner of KirstieWillTravel. She has degrees in both modern languages and marketing, and has spent a number of years living abroad, travelling often and exploring all that Europe has to offer. Kirstie is a big lover of undiscovered destinations, fairytale towns, street art and cheap eats.
Michela Sieman
Michela is a female travel blogger at She Goes The Distance, empowering young women to travel through curated resources and tips. Originally from Florida and now based in Bergamo, Italy, she loves to share hidden gems, budget travel guides, and her travel photography.
Íris Gylfadottir
Íris is a virtual assistant in her mid twenties. Originally from Iceland, she is currently living just outside London, in the UK. A self-confessed travel addict with a taste for good wines, Íris is a social media manager who helps entrepreneurs grow and sign clients through social media, whilst allowing them to focus on other aspects of their business.
Valeria
Valeria is an expat in Bologna, Italy. She’s the creator of @dramatically.expatic, an occasional Thought Catalog writer, and currently a postgraduate student at the University of Bologna. When she’s not writing or studying, she can be found strolling around the city and drinking too much cappuccino.
Hannah Foster-Roe
Hannah is a British freelance writer, journalist, and content creator specialising in travel, lifestyle, culture, and human-interest stories. Her work has been shared in a number of respected magazines and publications, and she is passionate about Europe, Yorkshire puddings, and pandas.
Helen Clara
Helen is an Indonesian expat in Germany. By day, Helen works as an apprentice in one of the most prestigious hotels in Hamburg. By night, she is passionate in sharing her travel experiences and expat tips through her website, Globustrotterin.
Lily Pryer
Lily is an enthusiastic wannabe-French-citizen in her mid twenties, currently living in Paris, France. Originally from the UK, her interests include drawing, writing, travel, and reading.
Marzia Abeni
Travel photographer Marzia is curious, passionate, and never without her trusty camera. Although originally Italian, her heart belongs to the wide open spaces of Wyoming, USA. Follow her adventures on her website, SamediALaMer.
Yannic Hannover
Originally from Germany, Yannic has been living in sunny Lisbon for a number of years, and has totally fallen in love with the city. A recent Master’s graduate, having studied Marketing and Communications, Yannic shares his writing over on his blog, Red Elephant LX.
Hayley Hoggarth
Hayley is a British travel writer making the most of her annual holiday allowance. On her blog, Many The Miles, you will find city itineraries, weekend trips and plenty of love for her home county, Norfolk. She is a lover of Italy, dogs and jelly beans.
Jenni Flett
Jenni is a Scottish freelance writer who embraces the slow travel life as a pet sitter in weird and wonderful locations. She loves to live like a local and connect with cultures through copious amounts of food and making friends wherever she goes!
Luke Sutherland
An English Literature graduate at the University of Birmingham, and originally from London, Luke is a travel blogger and English teacher. He documents his travels on his blog, Pirate of the Aegean, and is always on the hunt for his next adventure.
Federico Ambrosini
A freelance photographer and videomaker, Federico studied law at the University of Urbino while working for several years in advertising. After training in writing and photography, he now devotes himself to photo reportage, and has worked with various international news agencies. His work has appeared in various European magazines.
Kate Crittenden
Kate is an adventurer, photographer and travel writer based in Sydney, Australia. She started travelling when she was 15 and pretty much hasn’t stopped since! She’s lived in Germany, Spain, Italy, and Peru and can’t wait to get back out into the world again. Kate documents her adventures at @slowly.north and sells her travel prints on Etsy.
Hadriel Torres
Born in a small Italian town, award-winning travel photographer Hadriel Torres now lives in Byron Bay, Australia. His mission, through his photography, is to capture unique moments of our changing world with his camera lens, following in the footsteps of great explorers, who passed through ancient routes.
Christa Boffa
Born in Malta, Christa has been living in Florence for the past six years, where she works as a freelance content marketing specialist. On her Instagram page, @christaboffa, she documents her daily life in Italy and her love for literature, as well as her original writing in Maltese.
Andreia Esteves
Andreia is a Portuguese freelance writer who focuses on creating mental health, literature, and psychology content. After working for a few years in commercial and fashion photography, he left his ‘ordinary’ life behind in 2014 and headed east. Matteo uses his camera to delve into cultures and people, and to capture the essence of their story. He is currently based in Bali.
Anna Sida
Originally from Turin, Italy, Anna’s greatest passions include writing, travel, and drawing. She nurtures these skills through the Nutshell Project, which began in 2014: it’s an around-the-world journey in search of stories to tell. Anna and her partner, Matteo, strive to find authenticity in each place they visit.
